CGX AERO & AVINOR ELEVATE AERONAUTICAL CHARTING WITH AIP-GIS CHARTING® VERSION 7

After 18 months of dedicated development, CGX AERO is delighted to announce the delivery of version 7.0 of AIP-GIS Charting® the aeronautical charting expert solution. This work has been done in collaboration with the Norwegian ANSP AVINOR, using the SCRUM framework : the whole backlog (composing the tool roadmap) has been prioritized with AVINOR, the sprint reviews led to very relevant feedback from AVINOR cartographers, and an extensive testing of the tool increments was put in place to correct anomalies along the way.
In total, 8 sprints of 4 weeks have been run and led to the delivery of a powerful tool with advanced features:

The migration to the ESRI ArcGIS Pro middleware,
The delivery of a web-based charting portal, for chart templates & chart catalogue management and data extraction from the centralized database, allowing charts edition even in a disconnected mode,
The delivery of advanced tools, embedded in AIP-GIS Charting®, to handle the totality of the ICAO Annex 4 type of charts.
We extend our sincere gratitude to AVINOR for its commitment and for the quality of the exchanges with their highly qualified teams.
