NEWSLETTER : THIRD QUARTER 2026 UPDATES
LA ROCHE-SUR-YON : REVIEWING PROCEDURES, ANTICPATING FUTUR DEVELOPMENTS
The periodic review of flight procedures, required every five years, is more than a regulatory requirement: it is also an opportunity to ensure that procedures remain aligned with the aerodrome’s operational needs and with regulatory developments.

As part of a new project for La Roche-sur-Yon Aerodrome, CGX AERO is carrying out the review of four instrument procedures (PBN approach and departure procedures for each runway direction).
This review involves reassessing the design of the procedures against the applicable PBN specifications, in accordance with the requirements of the PBN Implementing Regulation (Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2018/1048), to ensure compliance with the European regulatory framework while taking into account the specific characteristics of the aerodrome. The aerodrome primarily serves industrial activities, with operators such as SD Aviation and Airtelis.
Beyond regulatory compliance, this review provides an opportunity to further develop the procedures in line with the platform’s current operational needs.
CGX AERO SUPPORTS DSNA IN MODERNISING AIM

CGX AERO has been selected by the French Directorate of Air Navigation Services (DSNA) following a competitive tender to support the modernisation of its Aeronautical Information Management (AIM) production services.
Launched in August 2026 for an initial two-year period, the project involves the deployment of AIM4Flight® and its eAIP extension, as well as Data4Flight®, in a SaaS model hosted in a secure “SecNumCloud” qualified Cloud environment.
The solution will support DSNA’s aeronautical information production activities while meeting the requirements of ICAO, EASA and DTA regulations, as well as SWIM and EUROCONTROL AIXM 5 standards. CGX AERO will also support DSNA throughout the migration of data to the new system, testing and training phases, as well as the maintenance, monitoring and updates of the solution.
This contract represents a major project for CGX AERO in France, strengthening its position in its home market and demonstrating its ability to deliver secure AIM solutions for major aviation organisations.
RWANDA : EXTENDING AERONAUTICAL STANDARDS TO REGIONAL AIRPORTS
Aeronautical information and charting are essential to safe and efficient operations — regardless of the size of an airport.

This quarter, CGX AERO delivered a complete set of aeronautical surveying and charting products for five regional airports in Rwanda, extending our expertise beyond the country’s main international airports and supporting the operational needs of smaller regional platforms.
The project included WGS84 surveys, Aerodrome Mapping Databases (AMDB), and ICAO-standard aeronautical charts, including Type A and Type B charts for each airport. For two of the five airports, CGX AERO also carried out the periodic review of instrument flight procedures.
The project highlights the importance of maintaining accurate, up-to-date aeronautical information across all types of aviation platforms, including regional airports.
SHAPING THE FUTURE OF AERONAUTICAL INFORMATION MANAGEMENT
From 8 to 10 September 2026, CGX AERO participated in IFAIMA Global AIM 2026 in Aruba, a major event for Aeronautical Information Management (AIM) professionals. The three-day event provided an opportunity for our teams to exchange with industry professionals on the evolution of aeronautical information and the challenges of its digital transformation.
The evolution from AIS to AIM relies in particular on more structured and reliable data, better-connected processes and integrated management through to publication.
In this context, Data4Flight® has recently been enhanced to meet the requirements of the new ICAO Annex 14, with new functionalities dedicated to managing aeronautical data related to airport infrastructure. In parallel, CGX AERO has developed the eAIP module for AIM4Flight®, enabling digital aeronautical information to be managed and published within a single environment.
IFAIMA Global AIM 2026 was an opportunity to present these developments and exchange with AIM stakeholders on their operational and regulatory needs, helping us further develop our solutions in line with the sector’s challenges.

CHAMBERY : ENSURING CONTINUITY OF THE SAFTEY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
Following the departure of the Safety Management System (SMS) and Compliance Monitoring (CM) manager at Chambéry Savoie-Mont Blanc Airport, operated by VINCI Airports, CGX AERO is providing temporary support as Safety Management System Manager / Compliance Monitoring Manager (SMS/CM) while a replacement is being recruited.
Running until November 2026, the assignment covers safety event reporting and analysis, action plan monitoring, the preparation and review of change management files, as well as coordination with the DSAC.
This assignment builds on CGX AERO’s ongoing support to VINCI Airports. In 2023, CGX AERO had already provided similar support to Grenoble and Chambéry airports during a transition period.
This new assignment helps ensure the continuity of the airport’s safety and compliance activities throughout this transition period.

CGX AERO SUPPORTS KCAA IN MODERNISING ITS AVIATION CAPABILITIES

Following a successful tender in Kenya, CGX AERO is supporting the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA) in modernising its capabilities for managing and updating aeronautical data.
Launched in August 2026, the project addresses KCAA’s need to update its airspace structures, as well as en-route and approach charts, using aeronautical data and simulation tools. Until now, the authority did not have the tools required to perform these activities.
CGX AERO is responsible for the deployment of a Data4Flight® server with an AIXM 5.1 database, as well as GeoTITAN® and Data4Flight® with its Airspace4Flight® extension. The project also includes data transfer and training for KCAA teams. The objective is to enable the authority to develop in-house capabilities for creating and updating airspace structures and charting products, in line with the requirements of the aviation sector.
Delivered in a demanding regulatory and operational environment, this project also strengthens CGX AERO’s presence among civil aviation authorities across English-speaking Africa.
TARBES-LOURDES : COORDINATING AN EXCEPTIONAL AIRPORT OPERATION

On the occasion of the Pope Leon XIV’s visit to Lourdes, Tarbes Lourdes Pyrénées Airport – SPLAR called on CGX AERO to support the preparation and coordination of the airport arrangements required for this exceptional event.
From July to September 2026, CGX AERO worked on defining a coordination plan involving the various entities, in order to adapt the airport’s organisation to the specific requirements of the operation.
The assignment included aircraft parking planning, the organisation of the areas required for the reception protocol, and the coordination of vehicle, official and spectator flows, while taking into account the requirements related to airport security.
This project demonstrates CGX AERO’s ability to support airports in preparing for one-off operations requiring a high level of coordination, drawing on its expertise to adapt infrastructure and operational arrangements to exceptional situations.
SmartHUBPort: SIMULATING TO SUPPORT BETTER DECISIONS
Faced with the environmental, economic, societal and regulatory challenges affecting airports today, having a comprehensive view of airport operations and their surrounding environment is becoming increasingly important.

Against this backdrop, SmartHUBPort, a digital platform prototype developed by CGX AERO, provides an operational digital representation of an airport and its environment. By combining different data sources and computational models, it enables users to simulate different development scenarios and analyse their impacts through relevant indicators.
Changes to operating hours, flight paths or air traffic can thus be assessed from different perspectives, including operational performance, environmental impact and socio-economic consequences.
