Obstacle monitoring and coordination is a tricky task but essential to ensure safe and efficient flight operations. Sharing the location of the aeronautical constraint to non-aeronautical experts, such as building companies, wind farm developers, etc. and helping them to determine the maximum allowed building height is a challenge for any airport around the world.
PAOLA is an Aeronautical Information Management (AIM) solution that offers an advanced method of utilizing digital data and web services to provide complementary, highly value-added aeronautical services in addition to the eAIP (Electronic Aeronautical Information Publication).

With its embedded analysis algorithm, PAOLA provides its users with a fast and exhaustive listing of the aeronautical constraints located at a user-defined position (point, polygon). For each constraint, PAOLA provides the obstacle clearance margin and the related maximum available altitude. Acting as a preliminary obstacle assessment tool, PAOLA significantly improves aviation safety for individuals with limited knowledge of aeronautical protections.
PAOLA is fully based on CGX’s AIM data management solutions Data4Flight®(*).
