CGX AERO Supports Djibouti in Modernizing Its Aeronautical Information

CGX AERO is proud to announce the continuity of its collaboration with Djibouti International Airport to modernize the country's aeronautical information management.

A Major Project for Safety and Compliance with International Standards

Those past months, CGX AERO has successfully conducted on-site obstacle surveys and digitized airport data to update flight procedures and aeronautical charts. This update improves safety and ensures that Djibouti’s aeronautical publications comply with the requirements of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and Eurocontrol.

This support extends a  fruitful collaboration established since 2010 between our two entities and ensures the maintenance of the highest ICAO standards in Djibouti.

Advanced Digitalization with Pléiades NEO Satellite Images

As part of this mission, CGX AERO relied on high-precision Pléiades NEO satellite images. These data enabled the complete digitalization of airport infrastructures in AIXM 5.1 format, the latest standard in aeronautical data management. The integration of this information has facilitated the upgrade of Djibouti’s eAIP, which is now in its final approval phase.

A Long-Term Partnership for Aeronautical Excellence

CGX AERO is delighted to continue its collaboration with Djibouti's aeronautical authorities. This mission is part of a broader initiative to ensure a high level of safety and to implement production processes aligned with the latest ICAO standards, particularly Annex 15 of the PANS-AIM document.

We are honored to have supported Djibouti through all stages of maintaining its aeronautical information, from obstacle surveys to the provision of the eAIP. The official update and validation by the authority are expected by mid-2025.
