ACADIA PROJECT : CGX AERO SUPPORTING SIA IN AIS DATA DIGITALIZATION

As part of the ongoing modernization of France’s Aeronautical Information Service (SIA), CGX AERO is contributing to the Acceleration of Aeronautical Digital Information Availability (ACADIA) conformity of the the French DGAC, which aims to migrate aeronautical data to AIXM 5.1.1, in line with the latest European standards.
Under the contract framework, CGX AERO is providing aeronautical data digitalization and maintenance services in AIXM 5.1 to complete, structure and migrate missing aeronautical data from sources such as NOPIA, the French eAIP, and AIP charts, and deliver them in Digital datasets (AIXM 5.1.1 format).
This initiative supports the European SESAR program to ensure a timely and synchronized implementation of the Common Project One Regulation (CIR (EU) 2021/116) (CP1) in accordance with the deployment approach defined in the SESAR Deployment Programme (SDP).
We are proud to collaborate with the French DSNA and deliver reliable services, based on our proven solutions and in done in compliance compliance with ICAO Annex 15, PANS-AIM, and EASA Regulation EU 2020/469.
A key step forward for safe, reliable, and interoperable aeronautical data in France.
INDEPENDENT VALIDATION OF A KEY GéoTITAN® ALGORITHM
CGX AERO and the OPTIM research team at ENAC have strengthened their partnership to support the development of GéoTITAN®, our instrument flight procedure design software.
As part of this collaboration, the so-called “Mascaret” algorithm — which calculates the shortest vertical trajectory in climb phases (IFR departures or missed approaches) — underwent an independent mathematical validation by ENAC. Given its critical role in the safety of automated flight path design, confirming its reliability was essential.

Using a series of complex test cases, ENAC compared Mascaret’s results with those of the well-established Fast Marching Tree (FMT*) algorithm. The outcome: a perfect match across all scenarios, confirming the mathematical reliability of Mascaret.
This validation provides strong assurance for one of GéoTITAN®'s most sensitive automated safety functions and demonstrates our ongoing commitment to technical excellence. Many thanks to the ENAC team for their expertise and dedication!
A FIRST IN FRANCE : TYPE B OBSTACLE CHART PUBLISHED FOR CASTRES
CGX AERO has reached a new milestone by producing France’s first ICAO Type B aerodrome obstacle chart, now officially published in the AIP for Castres-Mazamet Airport.

Until now, only Type A charts and standard obstacle listings (section AD 2.10) were available, offering limited coverage of obstacle limitation surfaces. In contrast, the Type B chart provides a clear and comprehensive visual representation of obstacles penetrating regulatory surfaces, improving risk assessment and operational awareness, particularly in complex environments.
Developed as part of a risk analysis to support the operation of code 3 aircraft, this initiative represents a significant step forward in aeronautical information in France.
Many thanks to Castres-Mazamet Airport for their trust in this forward-thinking project!
NEW CONTENT AVAILABLE ON OUR AERONAUTICAL EXPERTISE
Why talk about this now? Because we’ve just added two new case studies to our website:
Airspace design
WAC (World Aeronautical Charts)
They join our growing library of articles which aims to highlight our expertise in supporting safe and efficient aeronautical operations.

DOUBLE STEP FORWARD IN INSTRUMENT FLIGHT PROCEDURES IN FRANCE

CGX AERO is proud to have designed two major advancements in instrument flight procedures, now effective with AIRAC cycle 05/2025.
At Brest – La Cavale Blanche, France's first PinS procedures including a Visual Manoeuvring Segment have been published, enhancing helicopter access and safety in complex urban environments.
Meanwhile, Angers – Loire Airport now benefits from a new RNP approach for runway 08, increasing operational flexibility alongside the existing procedure for runway 26.
These achievements reflect CGX AERO’s commitment to safer, smarter air navigation solutions.
Full details available in the AIP France since April 17, 2025.
KCAA RENEWS ITS TRUST IN GéoTITAN®

The Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA) has renewed its GéoTITAN® license, reaffirming its commitment to using our solution for aeronautical data management. A GéoTITAN® user since 2007, KCAA’s continued trust highlights a strong and lasting partnership with CGX AERO in support of modern and efficient AIM systems in Kenya.

NEW PROCEDURES PUBLISHED IN OMAN : MUSCAT AND SALALAH
We’re pleased to announce the official publication of new procedures at Muscat and Salalah airports, following the ongoing collaboration between the Oman Civil Aviation Authority and CGX AERO.
These charts, effective from 07 August 2025, mark a major step toward the full commissioning of both airports, with a complete set of both PBN and conventional procedures for all aircraft categories (A to D).
📍At Muscat: RNAV STARs, ILS/LOC, RNP and VOR approaches for runways 26L/R.
📍 At Salalah: ILS/LOC, RNP and VOR approaches for runways 07 and 25.
These updates support greater operational flexibility, while ensuring safety and performance in a constantly evolving airspace environment.
