At the end of this training, participants will understand aeronautical constraints related to wind turbines and their impact on Instrument Flight Procedures and Obstacle Limitation Surfaces.

This course provides a practical and regulatory overview of aeronautical constraints related to obstacle construction. The training follows the structure below :


  • Applicable regulations

  • Instrument Flight Procedure implementation process

  • Purpose of Instrument Flight Procedures

  • Aeronautical publications

  • Basic principles of IFP design

  • Arrival phases (STAR, MSA, TAA, MVA)

  • Civil and military airspaces

  • Private airports and ultralight aircraft airstrips

  • Critical use cases and negotiation possibilities

  • Airport limiting surfaces

  • Practical exercises on MSA, TAA and MVA

  • Real-case discussions and trainee debates

  • Questions and answers
