Course Objectives

Participants will understand the purpose and structure of ARINC 424 and will be able to code both PBN and conventional procedures in compliance with Attachment 5.

Prerequisite(s)

Have past or current experience with aeronautical systems data management system (AIS or AIM).

Content

This course introduces the ARINC 424 standard and provides practical skills for coding flight procedures. The training follows the structure below :


Part 1: Introduction to ARINC 424

  • History and objectives of the standard

  • Link with the AIM chain and regulatory framework


Part 2: Focus on flight procedures

  • Attachment 5 and flight procedure coding

  • Examples of real flight procedure coding

  • Practical exercises based on published conventional and PBN procedures

Training Highlights

Complete 360° view of conventional and PBN procedures coding

Evaluation Method

Instructor evaluation based on the successful completion of the proposed exercises.

Certificate

Upon completion of the training, a certificate of attendance will be issued as proof of full participation.
